3. Decide what to do with your possessions - Sell?, Donate? Consign? Dispose?
4. Sell - a buyer needs to know how you came up with the value of your item
5. Estate sale - a professional who can sell your pieces for a fee
6. Donate - have everything appraised first so you get the maximum amount for a tax deduction
7. Consign - most charge 50% or more
8. Dispose - don't throw things away without knowing their value
9. Auction - check for minimums, some might not talk to you if your items cannot be sold
